As superstar collaborations go this one would be pretty huge deal: Jay Z and Justin Timberlake. JT hasn’t been doing much musically of late whilst he’s been putting his efforts into resurrecting social networking site Myspace, and has been known in the past for trying to collaborate with the New York rapper.

Numerous unconfirmed reports have been surfacing online from various sources that suggest the pair have been in the studio together, and those claims gathered further momentum when a cryptic tweet by Timberlake on his Twitter account read: "Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST..." This has led to excitably reckon that this will be the time when he the star will reveal whatever it is that he and Izzo have been working on.

As the NME reports, Timberlake had previously claimed that he attempted to work with Jay Z on his second album Future Sex/Love Sounds in 2006 but it never came to fruition. News of Timberlake’s return is definitely a good one for the pop world, the star showing invention and individuality in his work that by and large has been missing from many of the records released over the past couple of years bar the odd couple. With Jay Z possibly appearing on it to, it could be a real game changer.
