It might be a new year, but it looks like the same old story for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez as the pair have reportedly split up… again.
The most recent rift in the relationship happened right before New Year’s Eve, New York Daily News reports. The high-profile couple were on a romantic (or so they hoped) getaway to Mexico, but apparently the time together didn’t exactly help them mend their relationship. Apparently, by December 30, Selena had had enough and was flying out of the country, while Justin stayed for one more day, before going home. The reason for the breakup reportedly was Selena’s partying or, rather, Justin’s disapproval of her party habits. According to the same unnamed source, however, this probably won’t be the end for the on-again-off-again pair. “They keep breaking up and getting back together,” the insider told the NY Daily News. “It's an on-again, off-again relationship. It's probably not correct to characterize this as a final breakup."
The trouble for Jelena (celeb couple nicknames really should have stopped after Brangelina, don’t you think?) started around November last year, with their first of several reported breakups, but apparently the pair just can’t stay away from each other. It may be just a matter of time, before the two are seen canoodling again. But who can blame them – with so much publicity around their rocky relationship, we’re sure the on-again-off-again pair have enough incentive to keep their fans guessing for a while.
