Justin Bieber is being sued for $9.2 million by an Oregon woman who claims she suffered permanent ear damage after being hit with a "sound blast" at one of his concerts. According to the suit, Stacey Wilson Betts took her daughter to see the pop-star's recent show in Oregon, but claims the sound levels were incredibly high, reports Tmz.com.
The woman alleges that Justin made the sound levels much worse when he climbed inside a "heart shaped aluminium/steel gondola", which was then pulled out into the crowd. In the suit, Betts claims Bieber, "created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion". As a result, the woman now claims she suffers from tinnitus, which causes a constant pulsing sound in her ears, making it hard for her to sleep. She also complains of other hearing-related damage and is suing Justin himself, as well as his record label, the concert promoter and the arena itself, demanding $9.23 million in damages.
As of yet, Bieber's team are yet to comment on the suit, though his attorneys are probably getting used to complaints made against the 18-year-old. Last month, he was accused of roughing up a photographer outside a suburban shopping mall in Los Angeles, while earlier this year, a woman named Mariah Yeater claimed he was the father of her child (she later dropped the allegations).
