A bronze sculpture of Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez by controversial artist Daniel Edwards is to be exhibited at an adult store in Dallas next week, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The new piece, which features the superstar duo as a three-legged unit, will be displayed at the 'New Fine Arts' store.
The life-sized sculpture features the young couple standing atop a podium with the inscription, 'Justin & Selena Forever'. The store's manager Michelle Johnson says final preparations are being put into place to bring the work to Dallas. Fans of the Hollywood couple were stunned when images of the sculpture were released earlier this week, but the work will come as no surprise to followers of the artist. Edwards has a long history of creating controversial celebrity focused pieces. He famously made a bronze sculpture of Britney Spears giving birth on her hands and knees. Gallery spokesman Cory Allen said of the new piece, entitled 'Justin and Selena as One, "Nobody would care if the Bieber and Selena piece was just two normal adults. He's trying to show that this is what society needs now - celebrities to get attention. It has to involve sex too".
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are yet to comment on the pieces, either formally or through their active Twitter accounts.
