Justin Bieber's pet monkey detained by German airport officials after the singer flies into Munich without the proper documentation to allow his primate friend into the country too.
Justin Bieber is clearly trying his best to make his ongoing tour of Europe his most memorable, as the the singer has been involved in yet another bizarre incident on the continent, this time at a Munich airport. Biebs flew into the Germany city from Los Angeles with his pet monkey, named Mally, in tow last Thursday (March 28) but when he arrived it turned out that Biebs did not have the correct documentation needed to bring an animal into Germany with him. The monkey is being detained in a quarantined zone, under Bieber's expense, until the hefty fine (potentially up to $100,000) is paid by the singer.
Justin Bieber's behaviour is becoming increasingly irratic
The story was broken by The Sun, which also claims to have spoken to a source close to Bieber who was on the flight, who described the 'Baby' singer's behaviour leading up to the German incident as "diva"-ish. The singer broke strict health laws by smuggling his primate companion on board the private jet he had flight him over to Munich in and he will rightly face the consequences for attempting to smuggle Mally into Germany. The source went on to say, "Justin has been acting like a right diva. He is out of control and lives in an alternative reality to the rest of us."
The star was due to perform at the city's Olympiahalle stadium, but was detained by airport officials for hours before being released without the monkey, a capuchin monkey. He then travelled on to Austria by bus for a subsequent performance, with the incident involving Mally still unresolved and the monkey left in quarantine. Justin and his people are yet to make a comment on the situation and with him still in Europe it is believed that the pet monkey may still be in quarantine in the Munich airport.
