Justin Bieber has reported been left "devastated" by the incredibly sad news that a young fan of his dubbed 'Mrs Bieber' (Avalanna Rush) died following a battle with cancer. Avalanna, aged six, was visited by the 18 year-old pop star back in February after he became of an online campaign titled Get Avalanna to Meet Justin Bieber. Afterwards Bieber had Tweeted "that was one of the best things i have ever done. she was AWESOME! feeling really inspired now #MrsBieber."

However, the news has unfortunately turned tragic and the girl has died in New York. Bieber let his fans know on Twitter, writing "Just got the worst news ever. One of the greatest spirits I have ever known is gone. Please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna. I love you." He then followed it up by posting a picture of the two of them together from his visit, calling her his "angel", and then promised that, in memory of her, he was going to "make the most of everyday".

The child had been suffering from a rare and deadly atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor. The disease develops in childhood and has survival rates as low as 10 per cent in children under three.
