While Usher tries to get his protege off the hook, Justin seems less conserned with his reputation than ever.
Usher hopes Justin Bieber will continue to “just mature”, while Justin himself is hitting up the clubs in NYC – despite being still 19 and still decidedly underage. The Biebs has demonstrated a number of times in the past year that he doesn’t intend to maintain the squeaky clean image he had throughout the early years of his career. Nevertheless, his management seems keen to present all of his debacles, much like in Disney film, as minor obstacles on his path to growing up – which, in all fairness to Justin, they might be.
He’s not quite there yet though and, at 19, Bieber isn’t supposed to be hitting up the 21-and-over joints that TMZ reports he has been spotted at – particularly Marquee and 1 Oak. In fact, Marquee in particular clearly states on its website that ticket holders for its May 29 event "must be 21 years or older to attend." Avenue, in the Chelsea neighborhood, advertised its Wednesday night as 21-and-and-over, according to an ad obtained by TMZ, but allegedly let Bieber in anyway.
The TMZ report does make the point that it’s possible the venues generally allow minors in, but had placed age restrictions just for that night. In a rather ironic twist though, Justin visiting the 21-and-over venues more proof of immaturity than anything else.
