The Baby hitmaker took to Twitter.com just hours before the gig to and told fans he would not be at the show.

In a message on the social media site, he wrote, "Montreal due to the promoter of today's event breaking his contract and lying I will not be able to attend today's event. I'm sorry."

He adds, "I look forward to coming back to Montreal in the future to do a proper show but I will not be able to attend 2day due to this breach. Thanks."

According to TMZ.com, the Canadian pop star was supposed to be paid half of his fee upon signing his contract and was promised the rest two days before his performance. Bieber was unable to contact the promoter for payment and cancelled the performance.
