Well, this was always going to happen. After arguably the worst week of his career, Justin Bieber is looking to get his house in order. The 19-year-old superstar received a barrage of criticism for arriving late for his concert at the O2 Arena last week, before getting into various confrontations with security guards and paparazzi photographers in London. Now - according to the Daily Mirror - he's gotten in-touch with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez to check whether that might be a smidgen of a chance that they could, you know, get back together and rescue his ailing career? He cancelled a concert in Portugal on Tuesday, reportedly because of poor ticket sales.

A source privy to the 'talks' between Justin and Selena explained, "Selena is incredibly grounded and very mature for one so young. She was a superb, calming influence on Justin and didn't stand for any of his nonsense. She is also just as big a star as him which meant there was no ego with either of them." Justin's mother Pattie is said to have been instrumental in trying to reunite the pair and told her son to reach out. "The hope is that they will meet up somewhere quiet within the next three weeks. Both have use of a private jet so distance isn't a problem." We're pretty sure Bieber's PR team won't have any qualms with a romantic reunion - the couple were regarded as the clean-cut sweethearts of Hollywood, until Justin went and messed it all up in a bid to become a bad boy.

Justin is currently on his 'Believe' tour, while Selena is in Paris to promote her new movie 'Spring Breakers,' with James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens.
