Say it isn’t so, Justin! Animal cruelty?
Yes, Justin Bieber committed an act of cruelty towards his pet hamster PAC, or so the California Hamster Association says. And yes, that is a real organization, we checked. The violent act occurred when Justin handed the animal to a screaming 18-year-old fan outside a concert venue earlier this month. But the girl promised to love and cherish the animal forever, so what could possibly be wrong here. Well, apart from the impossibility of “forever” in this case (hamsters only live about 2-3 years on average), the CHA (we’d like to remind you that this stands for California Hamster Association) has said that handing the animal off in this manner probably caused it great stress. Apparently, hamsters are very delicate and easily succumb to illness and death, especially when faced with new or stressful environments… like maybe hoards of screaming teenagers. The association’s representative stated that: "The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom."
Clearly, the severity of the situation cannot be overstated. For now at least, though, PAC is alive and well under the care of the devoted Tory, who promises to treat him with the adoration he deserves. More updates (probably not) to follow, as the situation unfolds.
