A Make-up Artist Has Been Treated By Medics After A Monkey Used In Johnny Depp's Pirates Of Caribbean Films Bit Her Ear.
The capuchin primate reportedly left the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is being filmed in the Movie World production complex in Oxenford, Australia, and attacked a make-up artist working on a different project nearby on Tuesday (30Jun15).
The 54 year old, believed to be working on Australian TV series Mako Mermaids, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Allamanda Private Hospital in Southport to be tested for exotic diseases.
Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman Steven Burns says, "The monkey had come up from behind the lady and bit her on her right ear... The lady wasn't, we believe, making an attempt to approach the monkey, she was sitting down and it came up to the woman and bit her on the ear.
"Fortunately it was not (a serious injury) and we were able to manage it quite well... We believe the monkey was part of the Pirates of the Caribbean film set..."
