New Lone Ranger Trailer Revealed! [Trailer & Pictures]

It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year, ever since we saw Johnny Depp wearing the face pate of Tonto in some early stills of filming. He looked typically ‘Depp playing a ridiculous character-esque’. Now, the trailer for The Lone Ranger, starring Depp and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger himself has been revealed by Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and it is exactly as hootin’ tootin’ wild wild Westin’ as you’d imagine.

The plot of The Lone Ranger is all about revenge – like all good Westerns – and about working as an outsider to bring down the corrupt people in power. So The Lone Ranger ends up on a mission to find out who killed his brother, but the trailer suggests that that man may also happen to now be one of the most powerful men in the developing United States. Uh oh. Handily he’s bumped into Tonto, who appears to be on his own sort of spiritual quest, and the two team up in order to both achieve their goals. That’s what we’re assuming anyway.

The film is coming out in July 3^rd in the USA, and has been directed by Gore Verbinski, who of course was at the helm of the hugely successful Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy. It looks like we can enjoy more of the big action of those three films, but we hope he keeps a handle on the plot line unlike the way it started to slip on Pirates.
