Johnny Depp is reportedly jetting his two pet dogs back to the US today (15.05.15).

The 51-year-old actor was given until Saturday (16.05.14) to remove his pet Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, from the country by the Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce otherwise they would be ''destroyed,'' as he failed to adhere to quarantine laws and instead ''snuck'' the pooches across the border via a private jet.

Joyce has now announced he has received the ''best news'' after being informed Depp plans to get his pets flown back to America.

Joyce told ABC News Radio: ''I'm informed that Pistol and Boo are preparing to fly on a private jet back to the Unites States, which is the best news that I've got. Obviously there's an investigation into how they came out to Australia ... Mr. Depp decided he can step round our nation's laws.''

Joyce then sarcastically said: ''After that I don't expect to be invited to the opening of 'Pirates of the Caribbean'!''

Depp - who wed actress and model Amber Heard earlier this year - is in the country to shoot 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales' on location.

Joyce was determined to have the dogs removed from the country or euthanise the animals because there cannot be different laws for movie stars to the rest of the population.

He said: ''Just because he's Johnny Depp does not mean he's exempt from Australian law. There is a process if you want to bring animals in, you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them. You start letting in movie stars, even though they have been the sexiest man alive twice, who come into our nation, why don't we just break the laws for everybody.

''If dogs come in and they have rabies ... the whole life in Brisbane changes. They won't be so sympathetic to Depp at that point in time.''
