Punk rock legend John Lydon once tried heroin - but swore off the drug after it made him vomit.
The Sex Pistols star, whose bandmate Sid Vicious died of a heroin overdose, fell ill after injecting the drug and he vowed never to use it again.
He tells Britain's The Times, "I shot heroin once, vomited for four hours and someone said, 'After the first week, it's great.' I was like, 'No, thank you.' I use drugs, drugs don't use me."
The rocker admits he suffered a similar reaction to cocaine, and now counts cigarettes and beer as his vices.
He adds, "When the Pistols started, I used anything that would cover up that feeling of 'You're not that good' so LSD, hash. My mind loves a good trip. I don't like cocaine: 30 seconds of a high followed by three hours of flu."
