John Legend and his fiancée Chrissy Teigen are trying not to be ''neurotic'' about their upcoming wedding and have let their wedding planner take complete control as they are too busy.
John Legend and his fiancée are trying not to be ''neurotic'' about their upcoming wedding.
The 'Ordinary People' hitmaker, 34, is set to tie the knot with Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen this autumn and she claims their wedding planner is the only one in control of almost every aspect of their big day.
The 27-year-old beauty told People.com: ''I'm excited. I can't wait for the ceremony. [John] and I have been working and travelling so much that we just let our wedding planner do everything. We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see all of my friends in one area.''
But despite being too busy to worry about their nuptials, Chrissy, who is planning to wear a custom-made Vera Wang wedding dress, revealed that she is a control freak when it comes to food and cake.
She said: ''Food is really important to me. I'm not a big sweets person, which is why I'm really specific about the cake, which is going to be a really multi-layer cake. It's layers and layers of crepe and pastry crème in between with raspberry sauce.''
The cake will reportedly be made by Lady M in New York City.
Chrissy said she is really excited to marry John, adding: ''He's such a romantic. He's so sweet.''
John - who became engaged to the gorgeous model in 2011 - previously revealed he felt a spark between them as soon as they met on the set of a music video in 2007.
He said: ''When I met Chrissy at a video shoot, we were attracted to each other right away. I don't know if I believe in love at first sight, but I'm pretty sure a bit of initial lust is an important prerequisite to any relationship because that helps everything else happen.''
