John Legend and his model wife Chrissy Teigen hired food trucks to feed hungry campaigners protesting against recent U.S. grand jury rulings to clear police officers over the deaths of two men.
Since November (14), thousands of Americans have taken to the streets to demonstrate against the decisions to clear two cops who killed unarmed suspects Michael Brown and Eric Garner in separate incidents.
The soul singer and his wife decided to do their bit for the justice campaigners by hiring three food trucks to hand out free dinners to those gathered in Union Square, New York on Sunday (07Dec14).
According to News One, 500 servings of macaroni and cheese were handed out while other protesters tucked into Mexican food.
The couple did not publicise the good deed, but Teigen did advertise the free food by reposting messages on Twitter.com. She later confirmed the story to Buzzfeed.
