Joe Manganiello thinks Sofia Vergara is the ''most powerful woman in entertainment''.

The 'Magic Mike XXL' star thinks his latest movie proves that strong and independent women can still enjoy male attention and he believes his relationship with his fiancee is the perfect example of that.

He said: ''This is a love letter. It's a job for a man to make his woman happy. And I think that's what we're doing in this film. I am engaged to the most powerful woman in entertainment. And even she wants a strong, protective man. And I think that's what we portray in this film as well. Women can be powerful, but they still want a man who can protect them.''

The 38-year-old actor reprises his role as Big Dick Richie in the film alongside Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Adam Rodriguez and thinks it's great that they've encouraged women to be more open.

He told America's OK! magazine: ''It's only been in the last couple of years that women haven't been ashamed to go to the [strip] clubs. They were very hesitant to admit that they liked it when we tested the first 'Magic Mike' movie. Then 'Fifty Shades of Grey' broke through that barrier, and women were more comfortable talking in public about what they like.''

And the 'True Blood' hunk - who got engaged to 'Modern Family' actress Sofia in December last year after a whirlwind romance - admits he practiced all of his sexy routines in front of her.

He added: ''She was on the set when we were filming, and of course I danced every routine for her when I came home. She loved it, and I enjoyed it as well, to be honest!''
