The two characters will be part of Rowling’s upcoming play which is set 19 years after the events of the final Harry Potter book, 'The Deathly Hallows'.
Jk Rowling has confirmed that two more familiar faces will feature in upcoming play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley. The highly anticipated play, which opens in London in July, follows the characters 19 years after the events of The Deathly Hallows.

On twitter Rowling shared images of the wand designs for Harry, Hermione and Ron, as well as previously unannounced characters, Ginny and Draco. ‘Exciting morning at rehearsals for #CursedChild. What do you think of our wand designs?’ the author asked her over seven million twitter followers.

The epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows revealed that Harry and Ginny eventually married and had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. While little has been revealed about the plot of The Cursed Child, we do know it will follow Harry and Ginny’s son Albus as he starts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Harry, now in his late thirties, is working as an Auror for the Ministry of Magic and ‘grappling with his past’, as his young son struggles with 'a family legacy he never wanted'. So far there’s been no mention of Ginny and Draco in the cast list, so it is not yet known which actors will be bringing the characters to life on stage.

Previews for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin in late May, with the play officially opening on July 30th at London’s Palace Theatre. The play’s script will also be released as a book the day after its official premiere.
