Jk Rowling has stood up to the Twitter trolls with one brilliant tweet, after suffering a torrent of vile abuse following the results of Thursday’s election. Rowling, who is a vocal Labour Party supporter, also donated £1million to the Scottish ‘No’ campaign last year ahead of the independence referendum.

JK RowlingRowling was the victim of abuse on Twitter following the election result.

Rowling was targeted by supporters of Ukip and the Scottish National Party online, after Labour’s poor election performance which saw the party pretty much wiped out in Scotland by the SNP. The author was subjected to some heinous name calling by the trolls, with some also accusing her of being a traitor to Scotland.

But one particularly vile tweet proved to be the breaking point for Rowling, as a user told the author ‘Go f*** yourself you disgusting slimy Labour c***. All you lefties are finished in this country, especially you JK b****face.’’

Rowling responded by telling the now suspended user, ‘The Internet doesn’t just offer opportunities for misogynistic abuse, you know. Penis enlargers can also be bought discreetly.’ That’s game, set and match for the Harry Potter creator.

After receiving an outpouring of support from fans Rowling later explained her decision to finally respond to the trolls by writing that her ‘personal line has been crossed’. The author was later inundated with offers from fans who wanted her to relocate to their home countries following the online drama.

The support shown by her fans even caused the author to get a little emotional, as she told one user, ‘It's making me tearful. I'm always like this. Bullying never makes me cry, then people are lovely and I bawl.’ Never change JK.
