The magical history of America is revealed in four new stories.
Finally, American 'Harry Potter' fans will get the chance to learn more about the witches and wizards of their own country as Jk Rowling prepares to release four new stories on Pottermore featuring information about American wizarding legends and the Hogwarts counterpart Ilvermorny.
JK Rowling unveils more stories on Pottermore
For months we've been teased with little snippets of information about the magical world of North America, learning about the the Magical Congress of the United States of America (the Ministry of Magic equivalent) and the American wizarding school Ilvermorny (pronounced Ill-ver-morn-ee), all in preparation for the release of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' which will explore Magizoologist Newt Scamander's visit across the pond, and his subsequent troubles with a suitcase full of dangerous creatures.

Now it's time for a more in depth look into that world as JK Rowling announces four more stories to come on Pottermore in a collection called 'Magic in North America' featuring tales of the Native American legend 'skinwalkers' and the Salem Witch Trials according to a preview video released by Entertainment Weekly. The first story will be released today, with three more to follow everyday at 2pm GMT until March 11th 2016.

Rowling has previously revealed information on Pottermore regarding several other magic schools of the world including Japan's Mahoutokoro, Africa's Uagadou, Brazil's Castelobruxo and, of course, no doubt familiar to Harry Potter fans, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Durmstrang Institute - both of which featured in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. However, the page for Ilvermorny has been left blank for now.
The prospect of new material is definitely adding to the excitement that Potterheads are already feeling for 'Fantastic Beasts' starring Eddie Redmayne coming this November (which, incidently, is set to be a trilogy) and the summer opening of the play 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' along with its scriptbook.
