Actor Jim Carrey has emerged victorious in his battle with authorities over allegations he failed to pay insurance for workers at his art studio in New York.
The Mask funnyman founded the Church of Ffc studio in 2011, but officials from The New York State Workers' Compensation Board claimed he did not invest in compensation insurance to cover his employees for the whole of 2012.
Carey was initially fined $72,000 (£46,450) by the board, but did not pay up and was subsequently hit with a lawsuit in a bid to force him to hand over the cash.
However, a representative for the star insisted the non-payment was a mistake and Carrey has now provided officials with the relevant paperwork proving his 2012 insurance coverage, so the penalty has been rescinded.
