Jessie J is writing new music.

The 'Bang Bang' hitmaker - who is currently on holiday in Lisbon, Portugal with her beau, Luke James - revealed she has been writing lyrics in her ''mind'' and is excited to find a tune to accompany the words.

She wrote on Twitter: ''I have been writing lyrics in my mind all day. Can't wait to find out what the melody to go with them will be... (sic)''

The 27-year-old pop star's hint at new material comes during the European leg of her tour, in support of her third LP, 'Sweet Talker'.

However, she recently teased she would be taking ''a step back'' from her music to ''concentrate'' on starting a family with her boyfriend, who she started dating last autumn.

She previously said: ''There is going to come a time when I will take a step back from music to concentrate on other things. Do I want children? Of course I do. I don't know how many I want to have but whatever God decides to bless me with, I will give my all to.''

Meanwhile, the 'Price Tag' singer has been busy with more music in recent months, after her single 'Flashlight' featured in 'Pitch Perfect 2', and she co-wrote 'Sorry to Interrupt' with British boyband Rixton.
