Jessica Simpson is spending Thanksgiving with her fiancé's family.

The fashion mogul, who has a 19-month-old daughter, Maxwell, and four-month-old son, Ace, with Eric Johnson, has jetted to Boston to celebrate the American holiday with her future in-laws rather than her own family in Texas after her parents, Tina and Joe Simpson, divorced after 34 years of marriage earlier this year.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: ''She is spending Thanksgiving in Massachusetts with Eric and his family. Eric is such an amazing dad. She completely trusts him and has all the confidence in the world with him as a dad. She loves Eric's family and is really excited to bring both kids back east and spend Thanksgiving with them.''

The couple, who are currently trying to decide whether to get married in Capri, Italy or Hawaii, are taking advantage of the opportunity for his family to babysit and were spotted enjoying a romantic date at Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar in Medfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday night (26.11.13).

An eyewitness said: ''Jessica and her husband looked really happy and sweet together.

''They just talked to each other and looked like they were having a nice dinner. The chef came out and spoke with them after the meal was done and they were really nice to everyone.''
