The Rather Be hitmaker pulled out of her Saturday (13Jun15) slot at short notice and fellow singer Ella Eyre stepped in to replace her.

Glynne blamed the cancellation on health issues and now she has revealed she is to undergo an operation on her throat in a bid to fix her voice.

In a message posted on Instagram.com, she writes, "I am so so sad to tell you that I'm having to have vocal surgery next week. I'm so sorry and it kills me but I have to cancel some forthcoming shows and festivals. I'm a little scared but I will be back singing better than ever very soon! Love hugs and kisses Jess."

The singer had been due to open for John Legend during his U.K. tour, which kicks off later this month (Jun15) and she was also booked to appear at Scotland's T in the Park festival in July (15).

Glynne is the latest British star to suffer serious vocal issues - Sam Smith had to scrap dates and appearances and undergo surgery after suffering a vocal cord haemorrhage earlier this year (15). He then used a speaking app on his cell phone to communicate during three weeks of vocal rest after the operation.
