Jennifer Love Hewitt can't wait to bring her new baby home.

The 'Ghost Whisperer' actress gave birth to her first child with husband Brian Hallisay - whom she married in secret - on Wednesday (27.11.13) and friends say she can't wait for them all to be family together.

A source told the latest issue of America's OK! magazine: ''She feels like no matter how much you prepare for giving birth and having the newborn in the house, nothing can compare to when you actually hold your baby in your arms for the first time and bring them home.''

Jennifer, 34, and Brian, 35, cannot wait to introduce their daughter Autumn James Hallisay to their pet dog Duke.

The couple consider their beloved mutt to be a big part of their family and they are excited for Duke to meet Autumn.

The source added: ''After Brian Duke is the one that's always been there for her. That dog is as much a part of her growing family as the new baby. Plus, Duke is like a live-in babysitter that will help watch over the house too.''
