Jennifer Lopez rallied behind Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton by performing at a free concert in Miami this weekend. Much of her political content was based in feminism and she showed her patriotic streak by urging her audience to get out and vote for the US's first female president.

The 'Ain't Your Mama' singer was joined by her former husband Marc Anthony as she campaigned for Clinton at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater on Saturday night (October 29th 2016). She performed a number of hits including classics like 'Waiting for Tonight', 'Get Right' and 'Let's Get Loud', as well as her recent charity single 'Love Make the World Go Round' which she recorded with 'Hamilton''s Lin-Manuel Miranda. The songs were interspersed with pro-Clinton imagery and that of other strong female figures.

'We just heard Jennifer [Lopez] perform 'Let's Get Loud',' said Clinton when she took to the stage with the singer. 'Well, I say, 'Let's Get Loud' at the voting booth. You can vote early. Don't wait another day to vote.'

'We are at a crossroads where we have to get it right for the future. We have the perfect person to take us there', J-Lo said of Clinton. The candidate is currently in a gruelling campaign in Florida in opposition to Republican candidate Donald Trump. President Barack Obama will also be hitting the Sunshine State to show his support for her.

Other musicians at the concert were Cuban group Gente de Zona, DJ Extreme and Enrique Santos. Lopez's one-time husband of 10 years Marc Anthony (the pair split in 2014) was also there to support his ex. 'This is an unforgettable night', he said. 'I'm here to honor and support a woman who I've trusted with my children and my life.' The couple have two kids together; twins Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximillian David Muñiz.
