Jennifer Lopez tripped over her dress while she was presenting at the Oscar Awards last night (22.02.15).

The 45-year-old singer was left red faced after she stumbled on the train of her dress at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles when she presented Chris Pine with the Best Costume gong.

But luckily, the 'Star Trek' star managed to prevent the brunette beauty from landing on her face as he quickly caught her.

The 'Made in Manhattan' star knew her nude princess dress may cause her some issues when she chose it but it was a risk she was prepared to take because she felt she was experienced.

Speaking US journalist Lara Spencer, she said: ''I knew it would be a challenge, but I like a challenge. I have a whole technique. I got this. I'm used to it. I've done it so many times.''

However, despite her confidence, the stunning star admitted she had brought another dress with her for the after-party.

She explained: ''There's a party dress. When I turn around you'll see what I mean. You can't party in this dress.''
