Jennifer Lopez, who won over fans with her caring approach on American Idol last season, may not return to the show due to the demands of her husband Marc Anthony, EntertainmentWise reported yesterday. According to a source from In Touch magazine, Marc Anthony is: ".pushing J.Lo to quit Idol", because he wants her "to spend more time with him and their children." The source went on to say that Jennifer Lopez ".is ready to commit to a few more seasons, because she loves the job and the money, but Marc wants her to quit so she can spend more time with him." Lopez was reportedly paid $12 million for her first Idol season.

However, Gossip Cop has poured cold water on the rumours, claiming that a source close to Anthony has revealed that he has been nothing but 'supportive' of J-Lo's Idol work, and that her uncertainty about returning for a second season has nothing to do with him. J-Lo recently claimed in an interview with BBC Radio 1 that she was unsure about a return, stating, "I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because I'm on the fence.I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot of other things happening. It's going to come down to making a choice of what I want to do for the next year. We're not really at the breaking point yet." Many have credited Idol for revitalising Lopez's likeability and music career, and she now has so many commitments, such as touring, her new album 'Love?' and her new latin show 'Q'Viva', that she may not be able to return the show that sparked her revival.
