Actress Jennifer Lawrence was forced to skip the afterparty for the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Monday night (18Nov13) due to illness.

The Oscar winner wowed the crowd on the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, wearing a sheer purple Dior Haute Couture gown, but she chose to miss the post-premiere celebration following the screening in order to rest up for the final stop of the movie's promotional tour in New York on Wednesday night (20Nov13), according to Eonline.com.

Lawrence left her co-stars, including Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin and Elizabeth Banks, to mingle with director Francis Lawrence and celebrity guests, such as Joe Jonas, Will Smith's children Jaden and Willow, and Peter Facinelli.
