Jennifer Lawrence has reached out to befriend Twilight's Kristen Stewart after the two actresses were pitted against one another in a fabricated tabloid feud.
The Hunger Games star was baffled after reading about their supposed rivalry because she had never even met Stewart - so she sent her a peace offering via email to clear the air.
Lawrence tells Access Hollywood, "I wrote her an email because there was this huge, like, article about a Twilight and Hunger Games feud, and we've never met before and never spoken. There were all these, like, fake quotes from me that were actually hilarious. Some of (the quotes) were from my 'pal' and 'sources.' It was hilarious. When I was reading it, I was cracking up. Then I was like, 'Oh my God, if she reads this, what if she thinks it's true?' So I just shot her an email, and was like, 'Hey, can't wait to see more as this feud unfolds!"
Lawrence admits she was relieved when Stewart responded graciously.
She adds, "She wrote back, and she was like, 'It's fine. Welcome to the world where everything you say gets turned into (something it's not).' So, she understood."
