A lot has been said about Jennifer Lawrence. Rightly; for her fantastic performance in Silver Linings Playbook, and wrongly; for her Meryl Streep joke and supposed wardrobe malfunction.

A spokesperson for Dior kindly put things straight, telling MailOnline: 'The dress is made of different levels of tulle and satin and that is what viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly. It was not ripped and there was no malfunction - it was the design of the gown.'

So now that we've confirmed that it wasn't a wardrobe malfunction, simply the design of the dress, which, if we're honest, isn't really that good, we can down ask ourselves the question: who really cares? It wasn't even that good, even if it WAS a wardrobe malfunction - which it wasn't, remember. People usually fixate on these kind of stories if a delicate part of the body is revealed, but this? This was just a bit of her legs. The whole things smacks of desperation, and we for one would like the attention to turn back to her talents as an actor, which are ample, and have recently been recognised widely.

She began her SAG winning speech by thanking MTV. "I'll explain that," she said. "I earned my SAG card when I was 14, I did an MTV promo for My Super Sweet 16. And I remember getting it in the mail, and it being the best day in my entire life, because it officially made me a professional actor."
