Jennifer Lawrence congratulated Amy Schumer on her Emmy Awards with win a ''sweet'' text message - but told her she looked ''pretty but not smart''.
Jennifer Lawrence told Amy Schumer she looked ''pretty but not smart'' at the Emmy Awards.
The 34-year-old star picked up the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series prize for 'Inside Amy Schumer' last night (20.09.15) and her 'Hunger Games' actress pal was among those cheering her on from home, even if her congratulatory message wasn't the most supporting.
Amy told 'Entertainment Tonight': ''Jennifer sent me a really sweet text. She said that I looked pretty but not smart.''
Jennifer recently revealed she and Amy are writing a screenplay which they plan to star in together, but filming on the comedy won't begin until next year because the two stars are so busy.
The 'Trainwreck' actress added: ''Jennifer is the real deal funny.
''My sister and Jen and I wrote a movie together so we're gonna hopefully be shooting that in a year or something. We're busy!''
Early in the evening, Amy joined Amy Poehler to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and she admitted sharing a stage with the 'Parks and Recreation' star was the highlight of her evening.
Asked her best moment, she told reporters backstage: ''Presenting with Amy Poehler. She's the best! And like, that I could stand there and talk s**t with her and Tina [Fey] for a minute during the commercial break. My life's a dream right now. And this moment, this is obviously very cool.''
