Jennifer Lawrence Fears Overexposure As 'Mockingjay' Filming Continues

Jennifer Lawrence has opened up on all the attention her characteristically goofy behaviour has brought in in the past year in a new interview with Marie Claire. The Hunger Games actress has just started a new batch of filming for the final instalment of the fantasy series, Mockingjay, in Paris. On Wednesday, the 23 year-old star was spotted filming in the city alongside co-star Liam Hemsworth.

Lawrence, who has an Oscar to her name, has finally spoken out about all the press attention she has received for her unconventional personality as well as her very un-Hollywood trips and slips here, there and everywhere. The Silver Linings Playbook star had two big falls at the Oscars this and last year, causing some to begin to think that Lawrence was doing it for the publicity.

"I'm trying to do the right thing, waving to the fans, trying to be nice, and there's a traffic cone. The second I hit it, I was laughing, but on the inside I was like, 'You're f--ked. They're totally going to think this is an act,'" she said, referencing the words of fellow actor Jared Leto, who said he thought Jennifer's actions were all an act.

"If I were Jared Leto, I would completely agree. But trust me, if I was going to plan it, I would have done it at the Golden Globes or the SAGs. I would have never done it at two Oscars in a row. I watch Homeland - I'm craftier than that!" she joked with the lifestyle magazine.

"But if people want to start the backlash, I'm the captain of that team. As much as you hate me, I'm 10 steps ahead of you," the self-deprecating star added. Apparently it is this self-targeted humour that makes her boyfriend, the English actor Nicholas Hoult, love her so much. The actress stumbled over her words when she was asked to describe what she found attractive in a man.

"Looks can go pretty far. Nobody can deny a beautiful face. Fortunately, I have one," she said before backtracking. "Oh, no! I mean my boyfriend! I didn't mean my face! Oh, my God!" she says, laughing. "I meant I'm with somebody who has a beautiful face." Jennifer then noted that beauty isn't everything: "Humor and intelligence are key. Looks fade very quickly. I love a unique mind," the actress reveals. "Somebody who's his own person."

Back on the subject of her image in the media, Lawrence was pragmatic: "Nobody can stay beloved forever. I never believed it, the whole time. I was like, just wait: People are going to get sick of me."

"My picture is everywhere, my interviews are everywhere," she said. "I'm way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I'm really hyper, most likely because I've been franking, and I can't not photobomb somebody if it's a good opportunity," she said. "But it's something I always tell myself: 'You need to calm the f--k down. You don't want to constantly be a GIF.'"
