Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin enjoyed a romantic date in New York's Central Park on Saturday (04.04.15).

The celebrity duo - who've been in an on/off relationship over the last few months - were seen taking a stroll and holding hands through Strawberry Fields in the city's iconic park.

An onlooker revealed: ''Jennifer arrived first and waited in her car for a bit, then went to the table and sat with her bodyguard until Chris arrived.

''They had a quick lunch: She ate a roast beef sandwich, and he had eggs Benedict.

''Their table faced the courtyard, and people ran outside to take pics of them, but the bodyguard put a stop to that.''

Another eyewitness said they were seen holding hands as they took a walk through the park.

The spy told the New York Post newspaper: ''They were talking softly to each other throughout the meal. As they left, she changed shoes and her sweater, and she was overheard telling him she wanted to take a walk through Strawberry Fields, and they left holding hands.''

Meanwhile, Chris, 38, recently enjoyed a vacation with his ex-partner Gwyneth Paltrow in Mexico, but a source insists they are pressing ahead with their divorce despite remaining on friendly terms.
