Jennifer Aniston allegedly spent five hours in the hairdressers getting hair extensions because she felt her short hair didn't suit her.
Jennifer Aniston was reportedly worried her short hair didn't suit her.
The 'Friends' actress is said to have spent five hours in the salon getting extensions put in after deciding her radical chop - which she opted for in November - wasn't right for her.
A source told RadarOnline.com: ''Jen had been complaining to friends that she didn't like the short hairdo... she thought she wanted a drastic change, but felt it wasn't the right look for her.
''Instead of just growing her hair out, Jen opted to have hair extensions put back in, which she has utilised in the past. Jen has never been low maintenance when it comes to her hair... her identity is really wrapped up in her hair.
''She felt having the short hair made her look older, which she is trying to avoid. Having long hair, according to Jen, makes her look younger.''
The 44-year-old star - who is engaged to Justin Theroux - was allegedly willing to spend hours in the hairdressers because she was determined to recreate her longer, sleeker look as accurately as possible.
Jennifer said: ''The entire process to put the extensions in took over five hours because of the amount of extensions she needed.''
The actress previously admitted her shorter hairdo was the result of over-styling.
She said: ''It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase - this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it.''
