The actress said she was "very, very flattered” to receive the accolade.
Jennifer Aniston has been named the Most Beautiful Woman in the World for 2016 by People magazine. It’s the second time the 47-year-old actress has landed the accolade, having first featured on the annual cover back in 2004.
Speaking to the magazine Aniston said she was humbled and "very, very flattered" when she first heard the news. "I thought, 'Oh my God,'" Aniston said. "There was this sort of very excited, teenage-y kind of moment."

At 47, Aniston says she feels her best when she's taking care of her body. "It's funny, it's a really quick transition from not a care and now all of a sudden, we've got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies," she said. "And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s."
For the actress, real beauty comes from ‘inner confidence, peace, kindness and honesty’. “A life well-lived," she continued. "Taking on challenges and not feeling shame for things that haven't gone the way you felt they should have.”
“And not feeling like a failure or allowing people to critique your life and make you feel like you've failed at something. That's just toxic noise.”
But what makes Aniston most happy, is being married to husband Justin Theroux. "He makes me laugh. He's so interesting and so interested," Aniston added. "He's unbelievably talented in more areas than one and he's just a good man."
