Jennifer Aniston thinks Justin Theroux was a gift from her dead ex.

The 'Horrible Bosses' actress - who is engaged to the 43-year-old actor - admitted that the man was ''unappreciated'' by her, before revealing that he ''died years later of a brain tumour''.

Speaking of the unnamed man, she shared to the New York Times newspaper: ''He was my first love - five years we were together.

''He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all.''

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old actress has revealed that the couple are having ''big discussions'' about marriage, with the 'Cake' actress admitting she would happily marry Justin if she could tie the knot ''without all the buzzing and the noise''.

When asked if the couple had already set a wedding date, she said: ''There's a big discussion in our house right now: Do you just do it and say screw it? Or do you try desperately to get away with [a secret ceremony] where you don't have any fun because you're hiding in a cave somewhere?

''If we could do it without all the buzzing and the noise...It can be done. Where there's a will there's a way.''
