Jason Derulo is going to the gym twice-a-day in preparation for his world tour.

The 24-year-old singer is set to kick off his world tour, Tattoos, in February, where he'll be on the road until May, and he's adamant he'll be physically fit enough for it because he's been training morning and night in preparation for the New Year.

He said: ''It's a lot of work and it's hard on your body but you've just got to be responsible ... Right now I'm going to the gym twice-a-day. I start hardcore preparation in January, so I'm preparing for the preparation.''

The 'Talk Dirty' hitmaker - who was forced to cancel his tour last year after fracturing his neck during rehearsal - is looking forward to performing around the world and is adamant he'll push himself to make up for last year.

Speaking on BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge, he explained: ''It's exciting because I've got all these new records and of course I've got to do the last album as well. I had to cancel my last world tour because of my neck injury so I've got a lot of making up to do.''
