'Talk Dirty' hitmaker Jason Derulo has confessed it was ''hard'' breaking up with Jordin Sparks in front of the world's watching eyes.
Jason Derulo found it hard ''having a break-up in the limelight''.
The 25-year-old singer, who dated fellow musician Jordin Sparks for three years before they split late last year, has revealed he never found it tough dating someone so famous until it came to ending the relationship.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: ''Jordin Sparks was exactly what I needed at one point in my life. But that's not the case any more. So you live and you learn and you move on and be thankful for the time you shared. We dated for three years, but don't stay in touch.
''It's not hard having a relationship in the limelight so much as it's hard having a break-up in the limelight. It just goes on and on because people keep talking about it.''
In January, Jordin revealed that while she hadn't spoken to her ex-boyfriend since they split, she doesn't bear any bad feelings towards him.
She shared: ''He's a great guy. Like, I don't wish him any harm. Like, he did something stupid s**t, but I'm not like, I can't hold that against him.''
The 25-year-old beauty also revealed the relationship taught her much about herself.
She said: ''What the relationship did teach me is what I like and what I'm willing to do and what I'm not willing to do.''
