The star postponed her 'Unbreakable' tour in April, announcing that she and her husband were "planning our family" - has she been successful already?
Just weeks after announcing that she’s postponing her latest European tour in order to start a family, multiple reports are suggesting that Janet Jackson is expecting her first child at the age of 49.
A number of media outlets, beginning with Entertainment Tonight, reported on Wednesday evening (May 4th) that the pop star is expecting a baby with her husband, 41 year old businessman Wissam Al Mana, less than two weeks shy of her 50th birthday as the result of successful treatment from a fertility specialist.

E!Online additionally reports that Jackson is in her second trimester of pregnancy and that they had been working with specialists to fall pregnant for some time, although no word has officially yet come from the singer herself.
At the same time as these reports emerged, the star released the glitzy, impeccably choreographed music video for her new single ‘Dammn Baby’, the third to be released from her most recent album Unbreakable.

In April, Jackson announced that she was indefinitely putting on hold plans to resume her European tour in support of that album, only saying at the time that she and her husband were “planning our family”.
After thanking her fans for turning out for the tour, which began way back in August last year, she said: “We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you would be the first to know my husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.”
“Please, if you can try and understand it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
