James Corden has vowed his new job won't get in the way of ''Dad-urday and Fun-day''.

The 36-year-old presenter - who has children Max, three, and Carey, three months, with wife Julia - is preparing to start work hosting 'The Late Late Show' but insists the high-profile position won't interrupt his quality family time.

He said: ''My son calls Saturday, 'Dad-urday' and Sunday is Fun-day. We will get to have that and that's the most important thing.''

Though James says caring for his daughter at the moment consists of ''a lot of feeding and burping'', he loves being with the little girl.

He gushed: ''She just grins really big. She's a cutie!''

And when it comes to attending to the baby at night, the British star and his wife share the load.

He joked: ''[It's] mostly whoever is nearest. Me and my wife do rock, paper, scissors for who gets up in the night. That happens all the time.''

While James admits to being ''nervous and excited'' about 'The Late Late Show', he insists it's nothing compared with fatherhood.

He told People: ''What's more scary? Being a father. No question.

''It's just a TV show. It all pales in significance.''
