Director James Cameron has signed a deal with Disney bosses to turn his movie blockbuster Avatar into a theme park attraction.
The movie smashed a slew of box office records to become the highest-grossing film of all time upon its release in 2009 and fans will soon be able to experience Cameron's fictional planet Pandora for themselves at Florida's Walt Disney World.
The attraction will be part of the theme park's Animal Kingdom and construction is set to begin in 2013, with reports suggesting the project will cost a massive $400 million (£267 million).
Cameron has revealed the attraction will also tie in with the two sequels he is currently working on.
He says, "With two new Avatar films currently in development, we'll have even more locations, characters and stories to explore."
Cameron adds, "(Disney bosses have the opportunity to) go beyond current boundaries of technical innovation and experimental storytelling, and give park-goers the chance to see, hear and touch the world of Avatar."
