James Bond movie Skyfall and period drama Anna Karenina were the toast of the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday (19Feb13) after scooping the top honours.
Jany Temime won the Excellence In Contemporary Film prize for her work on Daniel Craig's 007 blockbuster, seeing off competition from rivals who produced costumes for Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Silver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty.
The Excellence In Period Film accolade was given to Jacqueline Durran in recognition of her designs for Anna Karenina, which stars Keira Knightley, and Mirror Mirror's Eiko Ishioka picked up the Excellence In Fantasy Film award.
In the small screen categories Smash's Molly Maginnis bagged the Outstanding Contemporary Television Series prize, Outstanding Period/Fantasy Television Series went to Downton Abbey's Caroline MCCall and Lou Eyrich triumphed in the Outstanding Made For Television Movie Or Miniseries category for American Horror Story.
Anne Hathaway was feted for her style, picking up the Lacoste Spotlight Award, while other winners at the Los Angeles ceremony included Lorne Michaels (Distinguished Collaborator Award) and Eduardo Castro (Career Achievement In Television).
