James Arthur is dating a glamour model.

The 'Impossible' singer - who shot to fame after winning 'The X Factor' last year - met Lacey Banghard through a mutual friend and the brunette beauty has been overheard telling a pal about their night out together, The Sun newspaper reports.

James, 25, has previously admitted he enjoys the attention he receives from women now he is famous, and thinks his voice means he attracts more attractive girls.

He has said: ''I'm told by my management that I need quality control. I know that I get attention from women who I would be punching above my weight with before. But if I bag a supermodel on the strength of my voice I'm not going to complain. I'm under no illusion that I'm some kind of heart-throb but it's nice to get female attention.''

It is possible that James and Lacey met through fellow 'X Factor' star Rylan Clark, who also competed on 'Celebrity Big Brother' last year with the topless model.

James is still in touch with Rylan, revealing on Twitter earlier this week: ''Me and @rylanclark recording buzzcocks together later on! Can't wait to see my big brothers little brother from another mother!! #LOVE (sic)''
