Jaime King has welcomed a baby daughter with husband Kyle Newman.

The 'Hart of Dixie' actress had her first child on Sunday (06.10.13), and is said to be recovering well following the birth.

Filmmaker Kyle, 37, posted a picture on Instagram of his newborn's hand grasping his finger, and captioned it: ''Nice to meet you! #FATHER #IMADAD #BABYTIME @jaime_king is doing amazing! The most incredible feeling. (sic)''

Jaime then posted a still from the film 'The Lion King' showing the lead character, Simba, being held up by baboon character Rafiki with the caption ''BABY'S FIRST PICTURE!!''

'Pearl Harbor' actress Jamie met Kyle on set in 2005 when he was filming comedy 'Fanboys' and they married in 2007.

Speaking of how he wooed her at Greystone Mansion and Park in Los Angeles, Jaime said: ''I'll never forget it. Kyle and I went to Greystone Park and he got me [frozen yoghurt drink] Pinkberry.

''Then we ended up getting engaged at Greystone and then married at Greystone. And he took me there. I never even knew it existed. It was very romantic.''

The couple held a 'Star Wars'-themed baby shower at Soho House in Los Angeles in August, complete with a Star Wars cake. Guests included Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson, Selma Blair and Teresa Palmer.
