Rocker Jack White has scored his first trans-Atlantic number one album after topping the charts in America on Wednesday (02May12).
The former White Stripes star has landed his first U.S. number one with his debut solo release Blunderbuss, which toppled Adele's 21 in the U.K. charts on Sunday (29Apr12).
Ironically, Adele's hit album jumps up a spot on the new Billboard 200 countdown to mirror the one-two punch in Britain this week.
Lionel Richie's former chart-topper, Tuskegee, slips from one to three, while boy band One Direction's Up All Night rises a spot to four and former American Idol star Lee Brice's Hard 2 Love rounds out the top five.
