Idris Elba feels like he's ''won the lottery'' since launching a fashion line with Superdry.

The 'Prometheus' star partnered with the popular high street clothing brand to produce a 250 premium-piece collection that launched last week and says having sway over people's style choices is like ''a dream come true''.

He said: ''The fact that I could actually influence how people dress is a dream come true. I could never have imagined this; I honestly feel like I've won the lottery.''

The 42-year-old actor claimed he knows what makes a man look good and is confident about his brand.

He explained: ''Look, I'm no fashion guru but I think I know how to dress and I think I know what a man wants to look like. That's all part of being an actor and choosing costumes, knowing how something will make your character look and feel.''

And Idris insisted he's more than just the face of the new brand, known as Idris Elba + Suprdry.

He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ''I'm not the kind of guy who will wear a pair of jeans I was sent and then endorse them, that's just not me.

''I love clothes. I'm 42 years old now and I wear clothes that I can be comfortable in, that will look good from a film set to a dinner party to a club.''
