Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as 'Wolverine' in yet another instalment of the Marvel superhero's solo adventures.
Hugh Jackman is going to sink his claws into yet another 'Wolverine' film.
The Australian actor will once reprise his role as 'Wolverine' along with director James Mangold, who will also be returning to the project.
Deadline reported that the pair are allegedly in negotiations with Twentieth Century Fox for the mutant's latest solo adventure.
The new storyline is being kept under wraps at this current time but the decision for another instalment must be heavily bases on the success of its predecessor.
The commercial success of this summer's blockbuster 'The Wolverine' has grossed $413,562,477 worldwide, making it the second highest grossing 'X-Men' film of all time.
Jackman, who shot to fame portraying the marvel superhero, will be reprising this role for a staggering 8th time, his latest portrayal is in the upcoming 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'.
The sequel to 'X-Men: First Class' will see the 45 year-old travel back in time to the swinging 60s in order to save the mutants of the future, it will hit theatres on May 23rd 2014.
The 'Prisoners' actor spoke with the New York Daily News after wrapping up filming for 'X-Men Days of Future Past' this past July. He spoke about his willingness to continue to play the mutant character;
"I think the same way golfers are always looking for a hole in one, I love this character and I never take for granted the opportunity I have to play what I think is one of the cooler, more interesting, multi-layered comic book characters, At some point my body will give up, but right now I'm enjoying it more than ever," he said.
Mangold is also reportedly writing the next instalment and Lauren Shuler Donner will be producing it.
