Actor Hugh Grant could land a role in The Cult science fiction series Doctor Who.
That is if the floppy haired British actor has his way, after he revealed he was keen to make an appearance on the popular show.
Discussions are now underway with the star of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill, who said he was interested in the possibility of working on the BBC programme.
"I'm in talks about a one-off role. I'd prefer to be a baddie. They're always more fun," he said.
Grant also revealed he was once offered the chance to take the lead role in Doctor Who, but decided against it, considering the project something of a gamble after it had been banished to the television wilderness at the end of the 1980s.
"I was offered the role of the Doctor a few years back and was highly flattered," he said.
Christopher Eccleston took the part instead, before being succeeded by David Tennant, the current Doctor Who.
