Holly Valance, the Australian pop star-turned-actress, has signed up to be a contestant on the forthcoming series of Bbc1 reality show 'Strictly Come Dancing', reports the UK's Sun newspaper.
Show bosses are understood to be delighted with the casting, as Valance will go head-to-head with her former Neighbours star Jason Donovan. The actress played Flick Scully on the Aussie soap between 1999 and 2002, while Jason played Scott Robinson for almost five years. Speculation suggests Holly will be paired with the new Siberian professional Pasha Kovalev, with an insider noting, "Producers are thrilled they have got Holly as she will really spice up the show. They are planning to pair her with a hot pro in the hope sparks will fly". Valance became a household name in the UK after her pop single 'Kiss Kiss' stormed the charts in 2002. She has since appeared on US dramas including Csi: Miami, Entourage and Prison Break, as well as starring in the Liam Neeson action movie 'Taken'. She will join socialite Nancy Dell'Olio, former footballer Robbie Savage and astrologer Russell Grant on the show.
Valance is currently dating the billionaire property developer Nick Candy. The businessman recently developed the 13-storey 'One Hyde Park' in London's Knightsbridge - thought to be the most expensive apartment block in the world.
